HTC’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphone — dubbed the HTC Accord — has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling. An image of the device, reportedly obtained from an official HTC ROM, was leaked on twitter.

According to the poster, the HTC Accord will have a MSM8960 1.5GHz dual-core processor — the same processor that features in the U.S. Galaxy S III handset — 8GB and 16GB of internal storage, and a 720 x 1280 high-definition display. It’s  expected to feature an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, NFC capabilities, and a microSD card slot.
The HTC Accord is expected to become HTC’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphone. Its vivid purple coloring also suggests the Taiwanese company is looking to compete with Nokia’s bright Lumia lineup.
It’s unclear when HTC will announce the Accord, but with Samsung having already announced its own Windows Phone 8 handset and Nokia’s coming next week, we expect its unveiling to come sooner rather than later.
