The above phone is reportedly how HTC will attempt to pry folks away from the Galaxy S III this fall. The pictures don’t give away much, though the red accents seem to suggest the device could wind up on Verizon. Otherwise, what’s beneath the surface is pure speculation. We’ve previously heard that HTC was preparing a 5-inch, 1080p handset, so this could be it. In addition, The Verge said the rumored device showed up on a benchmarking site with a chip that could be next-gen, ahead of Qualcomm’s S4. HTC previously unleashed the DROID Incredible 4G LTE for Verizon, but this one could be decidedly more high-end, and huge competition for the S III and iPhone 5.
