The public transportation for Los Angeles, is it great? Or is it not the way to go? I know that public transportation has the reputation for being the annoying thing blocking roads, or the one thing that only the poor rides. No offense but this is pretty much true, on the bus, expecially in LA, you will only see Hispanics and "African Americans". BUT in places like Japan, the bus and train is for everyone, the rich to the homeless. The only reason why the bus isn't used as much by people is because the car is in the center of everything, not walk to and from the bus stop. Think of it this way, the bus will save you more money and you will actually exersize getting to your destination from the bus. All of my ranting aside, let's get to how the bus in LA actually is.
Exterior: my bus was one of the newer models. Since mine was a rapid line I was on the red bus. Other than the red bus, there are orange ones (slower ones that stop at every stop), the big blue bus in Santa Monica, the culvercity bus (green) in Culver city and the highway express that goes from downtown to Anaheim.
Interior: the interior was relatively clean, when the bus went over bumps the bus squaks loudly. If there are no kids on board, the bus is really a silent place, and occasionally you can hear people talking in Spanish. The seats aren't the best like in planes or Rolls Royces but they are decent.
Pricing: the pricing is relatively low in downtown there is a bus called LAdot that costs only 50 cents but Metro is on the pricy side with 1.50.
